Dorothy E. Zagorski

Dorothy (Eckroate) Zagorski, 91, formerly of Beaver, passed away on October 6, 2025 at Franciscan Manor, Patterson Twp.

Born November 25, 1933 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward P. and Marie C. (Willenbacher) Eckroate. She was a former secretary at Babcock & Wilcox, Beaver Falls, PA.

Dorothy’s greatest accomplishments were tied to her marriage and the life she built raising her family with Joe, her husband of 64 years. Mom’s best times were wrapped around her husband, kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. School events, life events, holidays, vacations at the beach…all were opportunities to be with her family. Dorothy loved reading, traveling with Joe, her monthly card club with friends in Center Twp., and occasional day trips to the casino with her sisters Phyllis and Shirley. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley (SS Peter and Paul) Parish, Beaver.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, sister Mary Augusta, sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and John Majcher, sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Edward Grundza, and sister-in-law, Yvonne Eckroate and a daughter-in-law, Lisa Zagorski.

Surviving are her 6 children and their spouses; Joseph M. Zagorski, South Beaver Twp., James (Rose Mary) Zagorski, Center Twp., Paula (Stephen) Miller, Grove City, Keith (Liz) Zagorski, Beaver, Jon (Cindy) Zagorski, Beaver, Aimee (Frank) Palakovich, Freedom; 11 grandchildren; Tricia (Ben) Holland, Mike (Lydia) Zagorski , Emily (Nick) Morelli, Ryan (Bekah) and Chelsea Zagorski, Katie Miller, Megan Zagorski, Breanna and Kayleigh Zagorski, Jessica (David) McKenna and Sydney Palakovich; 7 great-grandchildren; her brother, Edward Eckroate of Montgomery, AL and sister-in-law Veronica Stante, Tampa Bay, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial held Friday, October 6, 2025 at 11 AM at Our Lady of the Valley Parish (SS. Peter and Paul site), Beaver, PA. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery. Professional arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009.
