Dorothy June Gibson, 95, of Brighton Twp., passed away on February 23, 2018 at Beaver Meadows, Brighton Twp.
Born on June 11, 1922 to the late Grant G. and Vallie Arthur Fowler, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Rochester, worked as an assembler at Westinghouse in Beaver for 37 years and enjoyed sewing and quilting. Dot sang in her youth on a local West Virginia radio show with her cousin, they were known as “Midge and June of Sunny Calhoun County”.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Denver Fowler; and her beloved niece, Becky Fowler.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 38 years, Sidney Gibson; a step son, Perry (Beth) Gibson of East Palestine, OH; a step daughter, Bonnie (John) Hazelwood of Chippewa Twp., four grandsons, Bryan (Lia) and Brad (Natasha) Hazelwood, and David and Tim (Britney) Gibson; six great-grandchildren, Mya, Hunter, and Monty Hazelwood, Timothy Gibson, Leland Fries, and Emma Werries.
Friends will be received on Sunday February 25 th in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver PA 15009 from 1pm until the time of service at 3pm conducted by Reverend Robert Strobel. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com .
Private Interment will take place at the Beaver Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Beaver County Humane Society.
