Dorothy Uccellini

January 30, 1933 — July 17, 2025

Dorothy Uccellini, 92, of Ohioville, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. She entered eternal rest after a life filled with devotion, resilience, and grace. Born in Ohioville on January 30, 1933, to the late Rade and Milka Brdar, Dorothy remained a lifelong resident of the community she loved. Known for her warm heart, steadfast faith, and deep dedication to her family. A lifetime and devoted member of New Salem Presbyterian Church, her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Dorothy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She took great pride in caring for her family and her home, always welcoming others with compassion, a hot meal, and a listening ear. An excellent cook, Dorothy found her greatest joy in being with her family—especially her grandchildren. Her strength of character and quiet wisdom were a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her. Known throughout Ohioville as the “community nurse,” she was always willing to lend her expertise and a compassionate ear to neighbors, friends and even strangers in need. A 1950 graduate of Midland High School, Dorothy went on to study nursing at the City Hospital of East Liverpool School of Nursing, where she became a Registered Nurse. She spent over 20 years working as an ER and surgical nurse before continuing her passion for caregiving by teaching Vocational Health at East Liverpool High School and later serving as a school nurse for the PA Cyber School in Midland. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by all of her siblings. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 63 years, Rocco Uccellini; her sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Rosa Uccellini of Coraopolis, and Andrew and Kim Uccellini of Bellevue; and her beloved grandchildren, Jacob Uccellini (Maddy LaPole), Isabella Uccellini, and Tessa Uccellini. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, especially her niece Renee Zani and great-niece Lori Jo Purvis. Friends will be received on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 629 Midland Avenue, Midland, PA 15059. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
