Edward E. Bogovich, 83, of Industry, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
A lifelong resident of Beaver County, he was born in Midland, May 13, 1934 andthe eldest child of the late Joseph and Barbara (Hodnick) Bogovich. He grew up on the family farm with his 4 siblings and as a young man began a construction business with his father, J. & E. Excavating. He later joined the Operating Engineers Local #66 where he retired from in the late 90’s. “Big Ed” loved his antique cars and showing them throughout the tri-state area in which he won many awards. In his earlier years he was an avid trap shooter and a member of several sportsmen’s clubs. He currently was a member of the Scottish Rite Freemasonry Lodge 45 as a 32nd degree Mason. Ed was also a member of Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bruce Edward (1973) and his beloved wife of 35 years, Catherine (Gimbus) Bogovich (2012).
Surviving are his two daughters Victoria (Victor) Razo, Beaver, Michelle Kolback, Brighton Twp., 3 brothers Charles W. Bogovich, IL, Robert A. Bogovich, Industry, Joseph D. (Nanci) Bogovich, FL, a sister Barbara (Thomas) George, Industry. His four grandchildren, Meredith R.(Matt) Bohon, Sewickley, Matthew B. Razo, Brighton Twp., Michael J. Kolback, Chicago, IL, Jessica M. Kolback, Denver, CO, who will miss their Pappy Ed with his giant ear to ear grin, he will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc. 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 am at Saints Peter and Paul Church, Beaver by the presiding, Father Robert Miller. Interment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Ed’s name to Saints Peter and Paul School.
A Masonic Service will be conducted at 8 pm on Tuesday in the funeral home.
