Edward C. Glenz, 99, of Brighton Twp, passed away on September 3, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 12, 1923, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred and Louise Borser Glenz. Edward has been a resident of Brighton Twp, since 1968, and worked and retired from Columbia Gas, Crucible Steel, and Penn Pavilion. He also was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in World War II. Edward was a member of F&AM #457, as a 32nd-degree, St James Lodge, Beaver and VFW Post 128, Rochester, PA. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Glenz; and a brother, Alfred Glenz. Edward will be sadly missed by five sons and daughters-in-law, Edward C. “Pete” and Candace Glenz, Clifford A. and Elizabeth Glenz, James E. and Dawnetta Glenz, Russell P. and Cathy Glenz, and Scott W. and Janet Glenz; brothers, Charles “Duke” Glenz, and John (Sandy) Glenz; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey (Diana) and Steven (Lee) Glenz, Eric (Dora) and Ivan (Julie) Glenz, Stephanie (Steve Siget) Glenz, and Brandon, Brady (Kimberly), and Sara Glenz; and 16 great-grandchildren, Jared, Ashley (Nick), Tye, Emily, Alyssa, Joshua, Kaitlyn, Madelyn, Luke, Sullivan, Adam, Olivia, Aubrey, Gavin, Elijah, and Jackson; and two great-great grandchildren, Evelyn and Jax. Friends will be received on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, as well as on Saturday September 9, 2023 from 11am until the time of service at 12pm at the funeral home, with Full Military Rites. Online condolence may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com. Interment to take place at Highland Cemetery, with his wife, at a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made in Edwards name to the Veterans Breakfast Club, 200 Magnolia Place, Pittsburgh, PA 15228. The family of Edward would like to extend a special thank you to the that staff at Amedisys Hospice, for their compassionate care given to Edward during his time with them.
