Edward (Sonny) Lesko, 88, of Chester, West Virginia, formerly of Midland, passed Monday, May 13, 2024, in Rochester Manor & Villa after a long battle with prostate cancer.
Born July 27, 1935 in Midland, he was a son of Frank and Josephine (Wysocki) Lesko. Edward was a man of catholic faith. He served his country in the US Air Force as a Basic Airman from 1958-1962, worked for Crucible Steel, was a member of the Polish Falcons of America, was licensed to train Thoroughbred Horses in Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, New York and California.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Anna and Edward Petroske; niece, Cecilia Petroske and nephew Edward Petroske.
Edward will be greatly missed by his brother, Michael (Deborah) Lesko, Industry; special nephew, Michael (Rachael) Lesko; nieces, Emily (Thad Timmins) Lesko, Megan (Casey) Seech, Peyton Seech, and Waylon and Clayton Timmins; lifelong friends, Bernie and Peggy Hartman, Milan and Regina Postage, Leslie O’Connell and Taylor Snodgrass, whom he helped raise and was very special to him.
As per Edward’s wishes there will be no services.
