Edward B. Stout, 93, of Ohioville, passed away surrounded by his family, Wednesday, July 14, 2021.
Born December 31, 1927 in Beaver, he was a son of the late Edward & Myrtle Stout. A resident of Beaver and Ohioville all his life, Ed served proudly in the U. S. Army during WWII. He retired after 30 years as a mechanic for Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, and attended Bridgewater Presbyterian Church. Ed will be remembered by many in his community for his tireless effort in developing the Western Beaver Bantam Basketball program for area youth.
Ed will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 67 years, Lillian Brown Stout, Ohioville; his son, Charles E. Stout, Brighton Twp.; daughters, Brenda S. (Roger) Applegate, Ohioville, Diane (John) Jacoby, Dover, PA, and Julie (Rob) Modany, Ohioville; sisters, Betty Burk and Jean Grosskopf, both of Beaver; seven grandchildren, Bradley and Brian Applegate, Alex and Laura Jacoby, Liz (Taylor) Mitzel, Angela (Forrest) Jones, and Nick Modany; along with three great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Bailee, and Ben.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his brother, Melvern Stout.
Friends will be received Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, July 19, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Bridgewater Presbyterian Church, followed by a private interment at Beaver Cemetery.
