Eleanor Kathleen Mcconnell Braun

Eleanor Kathleen McConnell Braun, 89, of Vanport Twp., went to be with her Lord, November 7, 2021.

Born July 4, 1932 in McKeesport PA, she was a daughter of the late James and Agnes (Roxborough) McConnell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Jack R Braun, and three brothers, James, Robert & Kenneth McConnell.

Eleanor will be greatly missed by her three children, Norma (Roland) Gray, David (Susan) Braun, and Darlene (Dennis)Anderson; dearly loved grandchildren, Amy (Lee) Scott, Jennifer (Ryan) Maempel, Jason (Tiffany) Bock, Justin & Brent Anderson & cherished great-grandson, Judah. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, LaVerne & Olga McConnell, and many nieces & nephews.

Eleanor is remembered by all who knew her as a very, cheerful soul with a solid gift for a laugh, a chat and a song any time! She decided to get a degree and worked very hard to accomplish an Associate’s Degree in Social Work from CCAC, working past the handicap of being legally blind. She then briefly worked at Mon Yough Mental health. She also was very proud of her career as a Mary Kay Lady! While raising her own children, every child in our neighborhood was welcomed to play at our house! She could play MANY musical instruments (sometimes playing more than one at a time). And her music continues…

Friends will be received Monday, November 15, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA. An additional visitation will take place Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Beaver Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Beaver, PA.
