Elizabeth N. Semes

Elizabeth Nora (Leary) Semes, 93, of Beaver, passed away June 21, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley – Beaver.

Born May 13, 1925 in Rochester, she lived in Beaver most of her life, and will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving wife, caring mother, and devoted grandmother. Elizabeth was a faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Bernie Semes in 2001; brothers, Gerald, Daniel, and James Leary; and two sisters, Margaret Leary New and Mary Leary Swineford.

She will be greatly missed by her son, James Semes; daughters, Ann (Michael) Lynch, Cranberry Twp. and Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Semes, Beaver; granddaughter, Kathleen Lynch (Jeffrey) Knecht, Cranberry Twp.; two great-grandchildren, Addison Elizabeth and Aedan Michael Knecht, Cranberry Twp.; two sisters, Ann Marie “Hunsey” Leary Stay, Beaver and Frances Leary DePaolis, Palatine, IL; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends will be received Monday, July 2, 2018 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Robert Miller, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery.
