Ellen Mae Harrison

Ellen Mae Harrison, 103, of Vanport, Pennsylvania, passed away on September 2, 2022, at home. Born on January 10, 1919 in Beaver, PA, Ellen was the daughter of the late Arthur and Gertrude Myers Heideger. She was a resident of Beaver and Vanport all of her life and a member of the Vanport Presbyterian Church. Ellen loved Bingo and all of the Pittsburgh sports, especially the Pirates and the Steelers. She also was a member of the Vanport Fire Department Auxiliary and the Vanport Presbyterian Church Women’s group. In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Harrison (1993); her brother, Arthur Heideger; two sisters, Virginia Hamilton and Betty Bunish; son-in-law, Daniel Clements and great-grandson, Jacob Dimock. Ellen will be sadly missed by her sons, John “Jack” (Darlene) Harrison of Pittsburgh, PA and Robert (Mary Ann) Harrison of Tampa, FL; her daughters, Susan Clements of Hopewell, PA and Janet Elaine Atkinson of Vanport, PA; nine grandchildren, Lorraine (Mark) Ciccarelli, Daniel Clements, Courtney Harrison, Denise Clements, Chad (Aimee) Harrison, Melissa (Gary) Hernandez, Carrie (Chad) Dimock, Michael Scott (Tina) Atkinson and Benjamin Atkinson; and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009 on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM; where a funeral will take place on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at 11 AM.
