Emily J. Bateman, 91, of Brighton Twp., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
Born June 10, 1929 in Aliquippa, she was a daughter of the late Nick and Jennie (Parrish) Babich. Emily had retired after 25 years as a sales clerk with Sears Department Store in the Beaver Valley Mall. She was a faithful member of the First Assembly of God, Patterson Twp., where she was very involved, having served as a Sunday School teacher and as a Pianist. Together with her husband, she volunteered her time singing duets and playing accordion at local nursing homes.
In addition to her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ronald L. Bateman; two brothers, Sam and Ted Babich; and her sister, Norma Babich.
She will be greatly missed by her son, Timothy Bateman, Brighton Twp.; daughter, Bonnie Liston, Chippewa Twp.; grandchildren, Tyler (Erin) Bateman, Huntington, WV; Jennifer (Jason) Eaton, Brighton Twp.; great-grandchildren, Fiona Bateman and Harper, Aubrey, and Claire Eaton. A new great-granddaughter, Margot Bateman, is due next month.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private burial took place at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver. A celebration of Emily’s life will take place at a later date. Professional services have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
