Ernst Humer

Ernst Humer, of Beaver, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at home.

Born August 26, 1928 in Pinsdorf, Austria, he was a son of the late Ernst and Franziska Humer. Ernst graduated from Voecklabruck High School and TGM Engineering, Vienna, Austria. He married Anneliese Rothberger in August 1956 and in 1958 they immigrated to the USA. Ernst had a 32-year career with Duquesne Light Company as the Director of Construction at Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit #2.

Ernst will be greatly missed by his three loving daughters, Brigitte (Frank) Hajduk, Cranberry Township, Susan (David) Peluso, Patterson Township, Kristina (Thomas) Kissick, Beaver; 7 cherished grandchildren, Mandy (John) Borys, Eric (Chrissy) Hajduk and Alex (Sami) Hajduk, Emily (Mike) McGovern and Megan (Nolan) Moffett, Wills and Sammy Kissick; 6 cherished great-grandchildren, Hailey, Ava, and Sophie Borys, Anneliese Hajduk, Mila and Violet McGovern.

Along with his parents and beloved wife, Anneliese, Ernst was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Hajduk, in 1993.
