Ethel T. Melvin

Ethel T. Melvin, 91, formerly of Midland, PA, passed away October 28,2023 at Beaver Meadows Assisted Living following a brief illness. Born July 29, 1932, in Leechburg, Pa, she was the daughter of William and Lois Tippett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Melvin in 1967; children, Douglas, Denise, and William (Bill) Melvin; her beloved daughter-in-law, Roseann; her grandson, John Tennerelli; granddaughter, Marissa Vaughn; her great-grandson Nathan Gingery Jr.; her sister, Janet Csonka; and brother, Ted Tippett. She is survived by her daughter, Joan (Bob) Lyons; son, Jeff Melvin; grandchildren, Megan Lyons, Krystle (Tyler) Smith, Ranee (Joseph) DiTri, Brandon (Amber) Melvin, Gina Vaughn, Ray Melvin; Rick (Brooke) Rappa and Mike (Adriana) Rappa. Ethel is also survived by her sister, Carol Rauch, and 16 great-grandchildren. Ethel worked for almost 45 years at the Beaver Valley Mall. She loved her job and her customers and was voted Employee of the Year once and Employee of the Month many times. Our mother and grandmother was famous for taking photos of every event in our lives, much to our protests, but it is something that we will always remember her for and cherish the memories. Friends will be received Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM at Mt. Pleasant Church, 846 SR 18, Aliquippa. Interment to be private.
