Eugene E. Bowser

Eugene E. Bowser, 95, of Beaver, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2021 at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph. Born on July 19, 1926, he was the son of the late Edward and Lillian Bowser; a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Eugene was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served on Naval Ship USS Bremerton CA130. He also was an active member of Elks Lodge #348, the Vanport Fire Department, Fairview Grange, and a very proud member of the Veterans Breakfast Club. Eugene also volunteered at numerous food banks, and kitchens, as well as Alliance for Consumer Protection. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Evelyn Bowser; his brother, James Bowser; and sister, Dorothy Downie. He will be sadly missed by his two sons and their wives, Donald and Nancy Bowser, and Larry and Cheryl Bowser; sister, Virginia (Ted) Mohrbacher; his loving girlfriend, Virginia Tice; grandchildren Jennifer Bowser, Christina Bowser, Amanda (Bryan) Murphy, Butch Bowser, and Kalynne (Sean Rosenfeld) Bowser; great-grandchildren Ashley, Kaleb, and Emma; a great-great grandchild, Lilith; a sister-in-law, Barb Manor; and numerous nieces, nephews, close friends, and neighbors. There will be no funeral services due to Covid-19. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Eugene will be laid to rest with his wife in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
