Evelyn V. Davenport Brown

Evelyn V. (Davenport) Brown, 90, of Ohioville, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at Lakeview Personal Care following a brief illness.

Evelyn, lovingly known at Lakeview as the Southern Belle, was born in Asba, GA, August 18, 1930, to the late Henry and Mae Weeks Davenport. Raised in Summertown, TN, she was generous with her Southern Hospitality. Evelyn loved everyone and always saw the good in people. She will be remembered for her saying, “Y’all better get in here and get something to eat!” She was a member of the New Salem Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Marshall Brown in 1994; a granddaughter, Brandi Schondelmeyer; two sisters; and four brothers.

She will be greatly missed by her four daughters, Linda (Manuel) Trevino, Cathy (Frank) Schwing, Janice (Randy) Timmins, and Paula (Joe) Carlin; and two sons, Morris (Anita) Brown and Timothy (Paula) Brown. Evelyn was affectionately known as Grandma, Gram, or GB to her grandchildren, Nicole, Danny, Michelle, Shawn, Marsha, Robin, Tori, TJ, Miranda, Morgan, Taylor, and Sydney; along with 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be welcomed Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by her pastor, Reverend Jeff Marquis, Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 11 a.m. at New Salem Presbyterian Church, Ohioville.
