Evelyn C. Richards

Evelyn C. Richards, 83, of Brighton Township, passed away July 10, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver, with her family at her side following a 12-year courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born October 18, 1932 in New Brighton, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Edith Cable. Having lived in Brighton Township nearly all her life, Evelyn worked as a floral designer at the former Spring Valley Flowers, Brighton Township, and later, at Colonial Florist, Beaver Falls. She was a faithful member of Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Brighton Township.

Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert J. Richards, Sr.; four sons, Robert J. (Linda) Richards, Jr., Timothy S. (Lea) Richards, and Daniel L. Richards, all of Brighton Township, and Todd (Kimberly) Richards, Vanport Township; two daughters, Connie R. (Dana) Kennedy, Ohioville, and Susan K. (Michael) Shuster, Beaver; ten grandchildren, Katelin, Zachariah, Shilo, Sky, Danielle, Ashley, Emily, Laryssa, Zachary, and Victoria; along with two great-grandsons, Nicholas and Christopher.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy, Lawrence, and Leonard Cable; two sisters, Lavada Saferek and Catherine Pittser; one daughter-in-law, Donna Richards, and a son-in-law, Dan Lithgow.

Friends will be received Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc.,333 Third St., Beaver. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend R. Martin Williams, Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Brighton Township. A private interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.
