Fern M. Madgar

Fern Marie Madgar, 91, formerly of Vanport, passed away with her family at her side, Monday, April 17, 2023.

Born January 20, 1932 in Cowansville, Quebec, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Clarance St. Esprit and Rose St. Esprit (Gauvin). Fern had worked as a driver for the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit for over 30 years. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Beaver and also enjoyed quilting and playing cards.

In addition to her parents, Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Peter A Madgar Sr.; brothers, Lawrence, Guy, Norman & Donald St. Esprit; and a son, Peter Madgar Jr.

She will be greatly missed by her sons, Robert (Shannon) Madgar, North Sewickley and Dan (Eileen) Madgar, Daugherty Township; daughter in law Judy Madgar, Virginia.; brother, Andre (Cheryl) St. Esprit, Texas; sister, Rose (Wally) Croft, Vanport and 6 grandchildren, Kassie (Sean) Thompson, Joshua & Connor Madgar, Nikki (Chuck) Costlow, Amy (Kevin) Farrell and Alex (Heidi) Madgar; great-grandchildren, Kenzie Costlow and Reece Madgar.

As per Fern’s wishes, all services were private. Fern was laid to rest next to her husband at Beaver Cemetery. Professional arrangements were entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Fern’s name to the Beaver County Humane Society.
