Fontaine H. Keefer

Fontaine H. Keefer, 95, of Beaver, formerly of Monessen, PA, passed away with her daughter at her side, Monday, July 15, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Daughter of the late Harold M. and Margaret M. Hornbeck, she was born November 16, 1923, in Donora, PA. After graduating from Donora High School in 1941, Fontaine worked as a secretary/payroll administrator for Black Top Paving Company in Washington, PA., until her marriage in 1952 to Lee G. Keefer. A faithful member of Beaver United Methodist Church, Fontaine sang alto in the chancel choir and in a women’s trio called The Methodettes. She was also active in the Beaver United Methodist Women, Beaver Antiques Club, and enjoyed playing bridge and recalling trivia with the Foggy Five.

In addition to her parents, Fontaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lee in 2007; her son Lee G. Keefer, Jr. in 2006; and a brother, Donald M. Hornbeck, in 2004.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Marsha L. Keefer, Beaver, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday, July 18, 2019, from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted by her pastor, the Reverend Tim Goodman, Friday, July 19, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela, PA.
