Frances Bilotto

Francesca (Frances) L. Bilotto, 96, of Beaver, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at home with her family by her side.

Born March 18, 1927, in Dover, OH, daughter of the late Emilio and Josephine (Verner) Lucente, she was a graduate of New Brighton High School, class of 1944. She was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Beaver. After high school, Frances attended Garfield Business Academy, and later Penn State University. Her work career began as an operator at Bell Telephone. In 1967 she started a 20-year career as Manager-Treasurer of the Westinghouse (now West Aircomm) Credit Union, establishing the current building location, dramatically increasing business, and always taking pride in serving her members. After retirement from the Credit Union she worked for the Penn State Conservation office in Beaver and the Salvation Army in Rochester. She cherished her family and treasured any time she was able to have them together. She very much enjoyed her card clubs and especially those friendships, and also enjoyed her daily crossword puzzles. Frances married James T. “Jimmy” Bilotto on April 23, 1949, initially living in Freedom before moving to Beaver in 1954, where they raised their four children and built their work careers. Frances is survived by a son, Lieutenant Colonel (retired) James “Pete” (Deborah) Bilotto, Beaver; two daughters and sons-in-law, Antoinette (Volney C.) Thomas, Tobago, Trinidad; and Christine (Tim) Corfield, Winter Haven, FL; 12 grandchildren, James R. (Claudia) Bilotto, Atlanta, GA; Tina (Phil Peterson) Bilotto, Northville, MI; Joseph (Kristi) Bilotto, Midland, PA; Krissy (Tim) Smith, Beaver, PA; Kori Coleman, Lorton, VA; Dion (Katherine Velez) Howard, South Beach, FL; Rachel (Tony) Walczak, North Olmsted, OH; Kelly (Keith Frank) Green, Parma, OH; Angela (Baraa Ghasib) Green Ghasib, Baltimore, MD; Gina Grove, Ohioville, PA; Matt (Emily) Grove, Ohioville, PA; Mike Grove, Ohioville, PA; 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her companion of 11 years, Clarence Dively, McCandless Township, PA. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jimmy Bilotto; daughter Mary Jo (Jo-Jo) Grove; granddaughter Raphael (Dana Marie) Williams; sister Phyllis (John) Geronimo; brother Emil “Junior” (Virginia) Lucente. Friends will be received Friday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, 333 3rd St., Beaver, PA 15009. A Mass of Christian burial will be conducted on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Valley Parish, SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 200 3rd St., Beaver, PA 15009.
