Frank D. “Butchie” Jergons, 74 of Midland passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at Heritage Valley, Beaver with his family at his side.
Born March 30, 1941 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Frank and Josphine Jergons and had been a resident of Midland all of his life. Butch had formerly worked at Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland and later retired as a line operator in the finishing mill at J&L Specialty Steel, Midland. A member of the St. Blaise Parish in Midland, he was also an avid outdoorsman and was a life member of the Midland Sportsman Club.
Surviving is his wife, with whom he has spent the last 44 years, JoAnn Gavran Jergons, 6 children, Lora (Rickey) Billiot, Louisiana, David Jergons, Rochester, Gregory Jergons, East Liverpool, Elaine Jergons, Midland, Nannette Jergons, Midland, a sister, Marion (Louis) Ulizio, Brighton Twp., 8 grandchildren, Amanda, Lyndsey, Gregory, Jr., Kayla, Namira, Manda, Jaden, Kyler, a great granddaughter, Alayna, and many friends.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was an infant daughter, Charlene Jergons, a sister, Veronica Drake, and a grandson, Eric Persichetti.
Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St, Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 at St. Blaise Church by Father Michael Yaksick. Interment at the Beaver Cemetery will follow. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Drs Knapp and Erukhimov, as well as the nurses on the third floor and Critical Care at Heritage Valley, Beaver for the loving care given to Butch.
