Frank J. (Duke) Snider, Jr., 63 of Midland, formerly of Belton, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at his home following an extended illness.
Born August 15, 1953 in Ellwood City, he was a son of Ruth A. Snider, Mingo Junction, OH, and the late Frank J. Snider, Sr. Frank was a fierce competitor on the football field, and upon graduation from Riverside High School, joined the Army where he served in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC. Indulging his love of heights, he spent the last 20 years traveling the country, painting water towers from Florida to the California coast.
In addition to his mother Ruth, Frank is survived by two sons, Joseph Snider, Steubenville, OH, and James Snider, Darlington, one brother and his best friend, Aaron (Jennifer) Snider, Midland, seven sisters, Sharon (Roger) Baney, Kathy (Bruce) Myers, Pamela (Ed) Mangerie, all of Ellwood City, Mary (Drew) Ohorodnyk, Koppel, Caroline McGarrity, Bethany (Glen) Hickman, Steubenville, OH, and Ruth Hightower, Anniston, AL.
Frank was preceded in death by his father Frank and a sister, Clara Bissell.

Frank wanted to be remembered, not as the man he was as cancer took his life, but as the fun, bigger than life guy that he had always been. Frank fought the good fight, finished his course, and kept the faith.
