Frank Walter Waida Sr.

Frank Walter Waida, Sr., 76, of Ohioville passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018.

Born March 26, 1942 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Walter F. and Charlotte Herron Waida. Following his proud service in the U.S. Navy, Frank and his family settled in Midland where he worked and retired from Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland. Frank was a proud member of the Midland VFW and American Legion, Midland.

Frank will be greatly missed by three sons, Frank W. (Donna) Waida, Jr., Midland, John (DeAnn) Waida and Kenneth Michael Waida, all of Ohioville; two daughters, Debbie Hoyt, MD, and Tammy (Darren) Giacalone, VA; two brothers, Richard (Joanne) Waida, South Beaver Twp., Robert Waida, Monaca; four sisters, Charlene (Tony) Nutz, KS, Betty Lee O’Donnell, IL, Becky (Raymond) Morgan, VA, and Paula Morgan, VA; eight grandchildren, Missy, Mindy, Matt, Shane, Trish, Ryan, Drew and Dylan; along with three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Patrick Waida.

Friends will be received during a memorial visitation Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., where military honors will be given by the Midland American Legion, in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland. As per Frank’s wishes, his body has been donated to science for education through Humanity Gifts Registry – University of Pittsburgh. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
