Fred B. Anderson, 93 of Potter Twp., passed away Friday morning, December 18, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley, Beaver. Born May 23, 1927, he was a son of the late Jesse Byran and Lillie Maude Pethtel Anderson and had been a resident of Potter Twp most of his life. Fred was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during WW II, and had retired from LTV Steel, Aliquippa. Fred loved his family, he was a devoted husband, loving father and proud grandfather and great grandfather. He also was a devoted man to his Faith and was active and faithful at his church, Church of Christ, New Brighton, where he loved to lead the song service. And he loved to play guitar and sing to the children, as well and being an avid outdoorsman especially having loved to camp and fish. Preceding him in death was his cherished wife of nearly 70 years, Betty Lou Anderson, a daughter, Kathy Sue Strathmann, a great granddaughter, Hailey Trainer, 4 brothers, Ray, Wilbur, Charles, Jr., Perry Anderson and 2 sisters, Naomi Unkfer, Eva Farley, He will be sadly missed by his son, Roger Lee Anderson, Jr., Monaca, his daughter, Theresa “Terri” (John) Stobart, Monaca, his grandchildren, Ginger (Jason Wilson) Strathmann, Freddy (Amy) Strathmann, Roger L. Anderson, Jr., David (Alison) Anderson, Chris Anderson, Lindsay (Gabe) Nichter, Shauna (Mark) Trainer, Tricia (Gabe Rudek) Stobart, great grandchildren, Hannah, and Matt Anderson, David Shipman, MacKenzie, Dylan, and Jason Trainer, Harrison and Kinsley Nichter, Jackson Stobart, Kendall Rudek, Emersyn and Ashlyn Wilson, Madison Anderson, and a great great granddaughter, Jaelyn Anderson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Due to COVID-19 restrictions and statewide guidelines, visitation and a funeral service conducted by his minister, Reverend Richard Walton will be private. Private interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are being conducted by the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver.
