Gardner A. Callanen III, 77, of Industry, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Heritage Valley, Beaver, surrounded by his loving family.
Gardner was born May 2, 1945 in Utica, New York, the son of the late Gardner A. Callanen Jr. and Janet Foley Callanen, he had been resident of Industry since 1974. He worked and retired from US Airways in 2003 after a 35-year career as a mechanic. For over 10 years, Gardner owned Indian Point Guide Boat Company, where he built and sold Adirondack guide boats. He enjoyed spending time at his beloved camp on Raquette Lake in the Adirondacks, was an avid woodworker, and a train enthusiast.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 53 years, Donna Heath Callanen, Industry; a daughter, Brienne (Steve) Zapsic, Industry; sisters, Linda (Dr. Walter) Franck, Cooperstown, NY, and Judy Link, Boulder, CO; grandchildren, Sydney & Calli Zapsic; along with several nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received Thursday October 6, 2022 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a Blessing Service will be conducted on Friday October 7, 2022 at 11AM. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Gardner’s name to the Salvation Army Food Bank or your local library.
