Garnett L. Shearer

November 17, 1932 — April 15, 2021

Garnett L. Shearer, 88 of Ohioville passed away April 15, 2021 at home with all her family at her side. Born November 17, 1932 in Hillside-Derry, PA, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Permilla Ruth Piper. She had worked at Price’s Machine shop in Derry, PA, but was most proud to be a housewife and mother. She was very faithful and had attended three local churches, Bridgewater Presbyterian Church, Fairview Reformed (PCA) Presbyterain Church and Ohioville Free Methodist Church. During her time at those churches she remained active, helping in many events and had served as Deacon. Garnett had also belonged to the Beaver County Car Club. Preceding her in death besides her parents was her husband, John B. Shearer in 2003, a son, Ronald K. Shearer, 1969 and three sisters, Dorothy Lynn, Jean Laughner, and Betty Kerin. Surviving is her son, Bruce K. (LaVerne) Shearer, two daughters, Kimberly L. (Joseph) White, Sherry L. (James) Crappio, her cherished grandchildren, Timothy (Shannon) Shearer, Bradley (Jaime Cavallaro) Shearer, Joseph (Amanda) White and Brian (Megan) White, Ashlee (Josh Green) Stadnik, Kellie (Cody) Williams, Jamie (Donny Dobson) Crappio, and her great grandchildren, Bailey, Emma, and Jacob Shearer, Kalynn, Hannah, Madison, Elijah, Nolan, Chase, Five Tyler White, Bryer, Brent, and Kyler Stadnik. She was also anxiously awaiting the birth of a grandson, Dominic Williams and granddaughter, Everlee Dobson. Also surviving are a special friend, Christine DePaul, brother-in-law, William Shearer, Ralph (Joan) Shearer, nieces, Carol (Fred) Hummel, Revona Kerin, and many additional nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC, 333 THIRD ST, BEAVER, where a service will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am by Reverend Norm Eckert. Private interment will take place at Beaver Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com. The family would like to thank caregivers, Darlene Cayton and Amanda White, and the caring staff at Grane Hospice including Judy and Carrie. Memorial contributions may be made in Garnett’s name to Beaver County Cancer Assn, 3582 Brodhead Rd., Monaca, PA 15061.
