George William “Bill” Bostic, Jr., 77, of Beaver, peacefully entered into eternal life Thursday, November 15, 2018, following a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born October 31, 1941 to the late George and Helen (Dagan) Bostic, Sr., Bill was lovingly called their Halloween Baby, with his mother often asking, “Is he a Trick or a Treat?” For those who knew Bill, the answer was always a Treat as his warmth and sense of humor endeared him to friends and family alike. He worked for 39 years with the Beaver Municipal Authority and in his spare time, could be found outdoors hunting or fishing. A devoted husband, caring father, and proud Pap Pap, Bill’s greatest passion was for his family. Bill’s smile was never bigger than when he was spending time with his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sharing his love of life and family with them. He was a faithful member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rochester.
Bill will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Carol (Gibson) Bostic who stood by his side for 38 years since their marriage in August of 1980; his loved children, Scott (Amy) Wolford, Beaver; two daughters, Judith (Michael) Racioppo, Ambridge, and Laura (Don) Knepp, Lewistown, PA; seven grandchildren, Amanda and Anna Wolford, Shane Sennett, Leslie (Austin) James, Michael (Megan) Racioppo, Roxy (Kylie) Racioppo, and Melanie Knepp; four great-grandchildren, Nathan, Knox, Gavin, and Juliette; sisters, Margaret (Bob) Erdmann, Downington, PA, and Elaine Lindsey, MO; brother and sisters-in-laws Judith (Clyde) Kernek, Sheperdstown, WV, and Clark (Penny) Pugh, Beaver; along with several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Jeanne and Paul Pugh, Jr.; brother-in-law, Chuck Lindsay; nephew, Mark Erdmann, and life-long friend, Jimmy Cable.
Friends will be received Sunday, November, 18, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by his pastor, Reverend Greg Clagg, Monday, November 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rochester. Interment will be private. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
