George Germusa

George “Russian” Germusa, 91, of Beaver, Pennsylvania formerly of Midland, PA, passed away on February 9, 2023. Born on September 9, 1931, in Midland, to the late Peter and Anna Garber Germusa, George was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church, Beaver, PA. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea, and earned a Bronze Star Medal, with the letter V, for Valor, and returned on Honorable Discharge with the rank of Staff Sergeant. George owned and operated Germusa Wholesale Beer Distributor in Midland, and later went on to work and retire from Colt Industries, Midland. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and also was a member of American Legion Post #481, VFW, of Midland, Polish Falcons, and Tristate Korean War Veteran;, where he was the former president. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sheila Ann Germusa (2021); and his brothers, Michael, Walter, and Stephen Germusa. George will be sadly missed by his sons, George E. Germusa, of Georgetown, PA, Stephen J. Germusa, of Vermillion, OH, and Michael Germusa, of Beaver, PA; grandchildren, Tiffany (Ryan) Bennett, and Erin and Samuel Germusa; great-grandchildren, Brayden, Amelia, and Avery; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday, February 16, 2023 in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, Saints Peter and Paul Church, at 10:30am.
