George E. Kauffman

George E. Kauffman, 84, of Beaver, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2026, at Arden Courts (King of Prussia).

Born on November 5, 1941, in Rochester, PA, he was the son of the late Charles and Genevieve Kauffman. He was a very proud veteran of the United States Army, having served in Heidelburg, Germany. George was a civil engineer, graduate of University of Pittsburgh, and his most notable career achievements during his time with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers were contributions to the Israeli Air Force Bases Project in the Negev Desert from 1980-1981, the San Antonio Riverwalk Flood Control project, as well as several other flood control projects in the Southern United States. After retiring from his engineering career, he led his own landscaping company in Columbia, MD and then moved the operation to Beaver PA in 2008. He was known around town as a friendly neighbor, for having extraordinary flower gardens, and creating elaborate Christmas light displays. George was a member of the Beaver Borough Shade Tree Commission, Beaver County Crime Solvers, and supported his community by attending many Beaver Borough Council Meetings advocating for his town. He also was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan, specifically for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers, and a supporter of Scouting America. George will be remembered as a loving husband of 60 years, father, and grandpa.

Along with his parents, George is preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Kauffman (2025).

George is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marie and John Hellgoth of Downingtown, PA; his son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Tandy Kauffman of Apex, NC; and four grandsons, Nicholas Hellgoth; Christopher Hellgoth and his wife, Megan; and Nathan and Michael Kauffman.

Friends will be received in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009, from 4pm-7pm. A Graveside Service will be conducted on Friday November 6, 2026 at 11am at the Beaver Cemetery, with Full Military Honors.
