George Vlaich

George Vlaich, 93, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

Born July 7, 1928 in Midland, he was a son of the late Dmitar and Mildred Vlaich. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War, George went on to a long career with Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland, retiring in 1982. He continued working after his retirement with Wilson Welding, Huntington, WV until 1991. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #22 in New Cumberland, WV and the Scottish Rite, Steubenville, OH. George will be remembered as an expert wood craftsman, creating everything from picture frames to furniture. Some of his custom work can be seen locally in St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, and throughout the country from the Ohio River Valley to Florida.

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pauline Morgan Vlaich, July 2021; and his sister, Helen Padezanin.

George will be greatly missed by his sons, George R., Michael R., and Randy S. Vlaich; and one granddaughter, Morgan D. Vlaich.

Friends will be received Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Interment will take place at Beaver Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
