Gerald R. “Jerry” Campbell, 83, formerly of New Brighton and Beaver, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.
Born February 1, 1938 in Mercer, he was a son of the late James M. and Nellie Douthett Campbell. A resident of Beaver most of his life, Jerry was a proud veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, and was well known in the community as a business owner and entrepreneur. He served as a Beaver Borough Councilman from 1995 until 2005, and as a member of the Beaver Business District Authority. Jerry was also involved with Gideons International. He was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church, Beaver.
Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife, Ruth Stewart Campbell, to whom he was happily married for 63 years; his son, Timothy Mark Campbell, Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Beth Ann Campbell, Las Vegas, NV, and Julie Campbell (Gary) Ceccarelli, Center Twp.; brothers, James K. (Shirley) Campbell, Jay D. (Barb) Campbell, and Bruce L. (Cheryl) Campbell; and his granddaughter, Emma Carol Shaddick.
Friends will be received Wednesday, January 19, 2022, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will take place Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Beaver. Jerry will be privately interred at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
