Gerald E. Yeater, 81, of Ohioville, PA passed away at home Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
Born June 30, 1937 in Proctor, WV, he was a son of the late Paul and Eula Postlewait Yeater. An Ohioville resident for 42 years, Gerald retired in 1992 as a foreman in the Instrument and Test Department at Penn Power’s Bruce Mansfield Plant. He was a faithful member and steward of Fairview Reformed Presbyterian (PCA) Church, Ohioville. In his spare time, Gerald loved walking, bowling, square dancing, and especially spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Carolyn Minger Yeater; two sons, Gerald (Kristine) Yeater, Jr., Shaler, and Marc Yeater, McKees Rocks; daughter, Diane (Chris) Cavaliere, Crescent Twp.; one sister, Nancy Truex, Proctor, WV; and two grandchildren, Paul Yeater and Cameron Cavaliere.
In addition to his parents, Gerald was preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Yeater in 2004; infant sister, Glenda Ruth and sister, Wilma Miller; and brother, Darrell Yeater.
Friends will be received Friday, April 5, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Schwerha-Noll Funeral Home, 600 Beaver Ave., Midland, PA. An additional visitation will take place Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Fairview Reformed Presbyterian (PCA) Church, Ohioville, PA., where a funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Ric Raines at 1 p.m. He will be buried with a graveside service at 11 a.m., Monday, April 8, 2019 at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV.
