Gilda B. Falkenstein

Gilda B. Falkenstein, 87 of Brighton Twp., formerly of State College, PA, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Elmcroft of Chippewa with family at her side.

Born October 19, 1928 in Chester, PA, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Maria Bottone and had been a resident of Brighton Twp the past 7 years. Gilda was a member of Our Lady of Victory in State College, had retired after 50 years serving others as a Registered Nurse, but most importantly, she will be fondly remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Preceding her in death was 5 sisters, Mary, Annie, Lucy, Amy, Dora, 2 brothers, Peter, Jimmy, and a grandson, Peter Thomas Falkenstein.

Surviving are three sons, Rick (Nora) Falkenstein, California, MD, Dr. Gerald P. (Victoria) Falkenstein, Brighton Twp., Ronald (Carla) Falkenstein, Center Twp., a daughter, Judith Ann (John) Caldwell, Elizabethtown, PA, 10 cherished grandchildren, Bruce (Kelly) Falkenstein, Baden, Richard (Roya) Falkenstein, King George, VA, Jennifer (Jeff) Sokal, Chippewa, John M. Caldwell II, Santa FE, NM, Timothy James (Michelle) Caldwell, Sparks, NV, Daniel Falkenstein, Ashville, NC, Nathan (Amanda) Falkenstein, Plainfield, IL, Rachel (Ross Shipe) Falkenstein, Charlottesville, VA, Tina (Jonathan) Batillo, Marlton, NJ, Ricky Falkenstein, Jacksonville, FL, 12 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 am at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church, 115 Trinity Drive, Center Twp. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Martin R. Bartel. Private interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are being conducted by the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third ST., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
