Gilda J. Kleinhenz, 86 of Sewickley and formerly of Midland and Cleveland, OH, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver, surrounded by her daughters.
Born August 31, 1928 in Midland, she was a daughter of the late Nazzareno and Pauline Celedonia Presutti, and had been a resident of Sewickley since 1998. She retired as a Surgical Registered Nurse in the Cleveland, having worked there for over thirty years, and was a member of St. James Parish, Sewickley. A loving, nurturing and kind person, she was considered the Florence Nightingale of her neighborhood. She loved to share her amazing talent of cooking with those she loved.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents, was her husband, Francis A. Kleinhenz in 1992, a son-in-law, William Rodgers Jr. in 2010, and two sisters, Marie Susie and Janet Nestor.
She is survived by three daughters, Paula Rodgers, Edgeworth, Mary (Gary) Whitaker, Leetsdale, Ann (John) Belcastro, Sewickley, a brother, Jesse Presutti, Brighton Township, ten grandchildren, Erin (Robert) Behrman, William (Tess) Rodgers III, Jessica, Meaghan, Rebecca and Ian Rodgers, Weston (Hayley) Whitaker, Diana and Melinda Whitaker, Elizabeth Belcastro, and one great-grandson, Victor Behrman.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 am in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 12:00 pm at St. Blaise Parish, Midland by Father Michael Yaksick. Entombment will follow at the Beaver Cemetery Mausoleum.
