Gladys G. Thorne

Gladys G. Thorne, 97, of Midland, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 13, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver.

Born March 25, 1921 in Ohio Township, she was a daughter of the late Albert Leroy and Cora Hinton Wolfe. A resident of Midland Heights Homes, Gladys will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother of 19. She remained active well into her 90’s with bowling and playing Bingo.

In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James A. Thorne; two brothers, and three sisters.

She will be greatly missed by her two sons, Roger (Eileen) Thorne, and Bruce (Barb) Thorne; one daughter, Kathy (Craig) Lonkert; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.
