Glenda Louise Black, 87, of Brighton Township passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople where she had been a resident the past 4 years.
Born October 15, 1927 in Beaver Falls, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Edna Hage and had retired from Westinghouse Electric in Vanport where she had worked for 25 years. She was a member of Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Ohioville, serving as a Deacon and having participated in mission trips.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Black in 2000 and 2 brothers, George and Donald Hage.
Surviving Glenda are 2 sons, Raymond E. (Patricia) Black, Charlton, NY, and Robert J. Black, Chippewa, and 1 daughter, Linda L. (Donald) Fleming, South Beaver Township. Also surviving her are 2 sisters, Thelma Jean Weagly, Elizabethtown, PA, Edna Mae Telford, Zelienople, 8 grandchildren, Christopher (Maggie) Black, James D. Black, Stephen (Colleen) Black, Stephanie (Jason Valenti) Black, Stacey (Kyle) Colbert, James R. Black, Tracy (Trevor) Kaiser, and Deborah (Tim) Costanza, along with 6 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. R. Martin Williams, Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Ohioville. A private interment will follow at Sylvania Hills, Rochester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Glenda’s name may be made to Four Mile Presbyterian Church, 5078 Tuscarawas Road, Beaver, PA 15009.
