Glenn James “Pooch” Simmons, 83, of Brighton Township, passed away on June 5, 2026.

Born November 30, 1942, in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Edwin Lloyd Simmons and Dorothy Francis Simmons Smith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings Jerry, Janet, Nerita; and his stepfather, Sy Smith.

Pooch will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Nancy Simmons, with whom he was getting ready to celebrate their 49th wedding anniversary on June 29; sons, Scott Alan Simmons of Glenmoor, OH, and Tracey Dean Simmons of Chester, WV; daughters, Tracie Sue (Ed) Price, of Summerville, PA, and Heather Jane Simmons of Durham, NC; sister, Freida (Larry) Greenwood, of Florida; sister-in-law, Sara Simmons of East Liverpool, OH; 7 grandchildren, Madison, Brent, Jordan, Billy, Heather, John, Kaitlynn, Nicholas and Taylor; as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

After spending the early years of his career as an OTR truck driver, Pooch chose to follow a different path, one centered on family and hard work. He stepped away from driving to help establish, build, and grow the family business, dedicating countless hours to its success. His determination, dependability, and willingness to do whatever was needed helped shape the business into what it became, earning the respect of all who knew him.

Having been Presbyterian by faith, Pooch had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the friendships that came with his favorite pastimes. Whether he was on the golf course or at his hunting cabin in WV enjoying deer season, he was happiest spending time doing what he loved the most.

Per Pooch’s wishes, all services are private. Professional services have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.

Nancy would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Carl Sesito and his staff, Pinnacle Hospice, and the staff at Trinity Oaks Care Center for the love and compassion care given to Pooch.
