Harold Wayne Uber, 86, of Beaver, passed away at home, Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

Born May 22, 1935 in Grove City, he was a son of the late Edward and Florence (Gough) Uber. Wayne was a resident of Grove City and then graduated Cum Laude from Miami University of Ohio. After graduation, he went on to serve in the U.S. Army, spending 2 years at Fort Knox, KY. He then entered into a long career as an accountant and assistant treasurer for Aliquippa & Southern Railroad, Monongahela Connecting Railroad, Cuyahoga Valley Railroad, and Jones & Laughlin Steel.

A man of great faith, Wayne was active in mission work in Honduras for many years. He participated at Uncommon Grounds in Aliquippa, was a member of the Promise Keepers Bible Study, served on the board at Rhema Christian School, and was a treasurer for Wildwood Chapel. He also volunteered at the Maple Syrup Festival at Brady’s Run Park. Wayne’s life was lived in service to his family and his Lord.

In his spare time, Wayne could be found at Christmas in the Woods in both Pennsylvania and Virginia. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, boating, camping, traveling and gardening.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Lida Ellen Uber, Beaver; son, Ronald Uber; daughter, Dana Uber Tessier (Matthew); grandchildren, Joshua, Kaitlin, Cameron, and Nicholas; and great-grandchildren, Kristopher, Zane, Tristan, and Ember.

In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Warren Uber; sister, Helen Milheim; daughter-in-law, Angela Uber; and father-in-law, Clarence Eddy Phillips, and mother-in-law, Lida Rising Phillips.

Friends will be received Saturday, August 21, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. at Wildwood Chapel, Aliquippa. Pastor Richard Liptak will officiate. Interment will take place at North Liberty Cemetery, Grove City. Contributions may be made in honor of Wayne to Wildwood Chapel. Professional services have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Wayne’s name to Honduras, care of Wildwood Chapel, 2850 Jack Street, Aliquippa PA 15001.
