Howard “Howie” McQuown, 53, Beaver, passed away on April 16, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian of Pittsburgh, after a battle with complications of Covid-19. Born on June 2, 1967, in Ridgway, PA, Howie worked as a Kitchen Supervisor at the Beaver County Jail, and was known as an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing. He also was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, and the Midland and Zelienople Sportsman Clubs. Howie will be remembered for his selflessness, kindness, and willingness to help anyone in need. He is preceded in death by his fathers, Howard McQuown Sr. & Edward (Buck) Thunberg. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 22 years, Kristin McQuown; his sons, Christopher & Nicholas McQuown of Beaver; his mother, Margaret Fry Thunberg of New Brighton; his siblings, Peggy Sue (Doug) Griffith, of New Brighton, Paul (Marlene) Bracken of Georgia, Rodney Fry of New Brighton, Bill (Kelly) McQuown of Washington, and Brenda (Jim) Shipley of Ridgway. Friends will be received Wednesday April 21, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 in the NOLL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 333 THIRD ST., BEAVER, PA, 15009. A private family service will be held on Thursday.
