Irja Elaine Coles

Irja Elaine Coles, 77, of Industry, Pennsylvania passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 24, 2022.

Born July 17, 1945 in Rochester, PA, she was a loving stay-at-home mom raising her two girls. She spent some years after that working at the front desk of the Willows Motel in the 1980’s. Then she became the best babysitter in the world for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and recently became a member of the Christian Assembly Church. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and proud and caring grandmother and great-grandmother.

Irja Elaine (Ruffner) Coles will be greatly missed by her daughters, Laura Todd, Midland, PA and Patty Coles, Rochester, PA; sisters Kaarina Bedich (Tony), Center Township, PA and Therese Lynch, Industry, PA; brothers Mike Ruffner (Bernice), Industry, Joe Ruffner (Juanita), Ohio; sister-in-law, Verna Diane Kerr, Brighton Twp.; grandchildren, Amber, Jess, Brett (Christina), Brody (Alyssa), Cody, Reese, and Kathy; along with great-grandchildren, Destiny, Ariella, Brinlee, Azelyn, Abiona, Ethan, and Skyler. She will also be greatly missed by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Frank J. Coles; brother-in-law Samuel Kerr; much loved son-in-law David Todd; and two cherished grandsons, Brandon Bixler and Kristofer Todd.
