Jack R. Braun, 86, of Vanport Twp., passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021.
Jack was born January 9, 1935 in McKeesport PA, the son of the late Joseph and Lillian (Weisberger) Braun. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol (William) Dewyer. His loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor Kathleen McConnell Braun, passed shortly after Jack on November 7, 2021.
Jack will be greatly missed by his children, Norma (Roland) Gray, and David (Susan) Braun; dearly loved grandchildren, Amy (Lee) Scott, Jennifer (Ryan) Maempel, Jason (Tiffany) Bock & cherished great-grandson, Judah. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, LaVerne & Olga McConnell, and many nieces and nephews.
Jack worked for over 30 years for US Steel Duquesne Works as a master electrician and after his retirement enjoyed working with Robert Davis (who was like a son to him) in the lawn mower repair business. It may sound like exaggeration, but there was next near to nothing that Jack couldn’t fix, build or repair. He truly was a “jack of all trades!” He was the person the entire neighborhood depended on to keep their homes in good running order, and genuinely enjoyed being giving, loving and doing for everyone!
Friends will be received Monday, November 15, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA. An additional visitation will take place Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Beaver Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Beaver, PA. Jack’s son-in-law, Reverend Roland Gray will officiate. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh, PA. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
