Jack R. "Shorty" Keeler

November 6, 1929 — January 13, 2023

Jack R. “Shorty” Keeler, 93, passed peacefully on to heaven January 13, 2023, where he was reunited with the love of his life, Lois J. Keeler. He was preceded in death by wife, Lois J. Keeler (2017) and son, John R. Keeler (2016). Born in Beaver Falls, PA, he was preceded in death by parents Martha (Mattie) Hupp Keeler and Jay Keeler. Brothers, Harry, Richard, James Keeler and sisters, Margaret Smith, Virginia Freed, Jeanne Queen and Jane Keeler also preceded Jack in death. Jack was a member of the Jokers Club in his Beaver Falls High School years (class of 49). He continued to be quite the joker all of his life, by entertaining the church children with his invisible dog and his quick wit. Jack served admirably in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning, he served as a Lay Minister for Central United Methodist Church (Beaver Falls). Jack then served as the Alabaster campaign leader for over 20 years at the New Brighton Church of the Nazarene. He graduated from the School of Auctioneering, High Point, N.C. and applied those skills to fund raise for his church. He was a member of the Three Rivers Tribe and the Fort MacIntosh Indian Dancers. He loved to teach about his Native Heritage. In later life he split his time between his home in New Brighton and his daughter and son-in-law’s home in S.C. Jack never met a stranger, only friends that he always wanted to chat up. Jack is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Donald Bowser, 5 grandchildren, Samantha (Bill) McFarland, Jeremy (Kristiana) Keeler, Jason Keeler, Jennifer Bowser and Amanda (Bryan) Murphy. He is survived by ten great grandchildren Heaven (Michael) Perkins, Micki, Grace Ann and Phoenix Friend, Landon, Kryslin, Jackson, Jeremiah, and Josiah Keeler, and Emma Murphy. He is also survived by one great-great grandson, Michael Perkins, numerous nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren. Per Jack’s request there will be no viewing and there will be a graveside (National Cemetery of the Alleghenies) ceremony when the warm sun shines on our faces.

Professional Arrangements have been entrusted to the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver PA 15009. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
