James S. "Chicken" Boyle

James S. “Chicken” Boyle, 85 of Vanport, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018.

Born June 10, 1932 in Midland, he was a son of the late Alfred and Mildred Prodonovich Boyle and a 1951 graduate of Midland High School. A 55 year resident of Vanport, Chicken retired from Crucible Steel, Colt Industries, Midland after a 30 year career in the Pipe Shop. He was an avid outdoorsman and life member of the Midland Sportsman Club where he served as president for over 40 years, and a life member of the NRA. Other organizations Chicken participated in were the St. Anthony Club, Midland and American Yugoslav Club, Midland. He was a faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver.

James will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 55 years, Frances Mendicino Boyle, Vanport; son, Michael J. Boyle, Vanport; his brother, Anthony (Janice) Boyle, Calcutta, OH; two sisters, Julia (George) Buckley, Industry, and Rita Groscost, Huntington Beach, CA; along with numerous nephews and nieces who adored their Uncle Chicken.

Friends will be received Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Robert Miller, Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Beaver. Interment will follow at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
