James H. (Jimmy) George

James H. (Jimmy) George, 86, of Brighton Township, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 13, 2024. Jimmy was born March 31, 1938 in Aliquippa, PA, was the son of the late James and Margaret Short George, and lived a life of faith and service. He was a devoted member of Beaver Falls Christian Assembly Church where he served several terms as a board member as well as many years as the church custodian. Jimmy was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and spent 28 years of his career as an electrician for J & L Steel Tin Mill. In his leisure time he enjoyed walking at the mall with his friend Phil and “working” on his golf game. Jimmy will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Diana; daughters Susan George, Jennifer (Gary Graham) George; beloved grandson, Isaac Cowie; brothers, Thomas (Norlee) George, Robert (Betty) George; sister, June Phillips; brother-in-law, Bill Noah, Sr., Bill and Terri Noah, Jr., and their children, Joshua and Abigail Noah, Sam (Nikki) Cowie, and numerous other family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Lucille (Raymond) Gratz, Gladys George and brother-in-law, Patrick Phillips. The family would like to thank the staff of Heritage Valley Beaver for their kind and compassionate care. Services were private with Pastor Dale Russo officiating.
