James Arthur Krepps, 93, of Brighton Twp., passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019.
Born July 22, 1926 in Rochester, he was a son of the late Vivian Albert and Edith Roser Krepps. James proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He returned home to work as a millwright at St. Joe Zinc Corporation, retiring after a 40 plus year career. James was a faithful and active member of Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Brighton Twp.
He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 67 years, Velva L. Bryner Krepps, Brighton Twp.; sons, Robert (Anne) Krepps, Tucson, AZ, Richard (Rose) Krepps, Brighton Twp., and George Krepps, Brighton Twp.; daughter, Marilyn “Penny” (Robert) Brumbaugh, West Palm Beach, FL; one sister, Barbara Johnson, Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, James (Leona) Krepps, Michael (Sarah Jane) Krepps, Matthew (Ina) Krepps, Salena Krepps, and Joshua Krepps; along with great-grandchildren, Otto and Cassius Krepps.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Wilson and Betty Snyder.
Friends will be received Sunday, September 29, 2019 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. A funeral service will be conducted by his pastor, Reverend R. Martin Williams, Monday September 30, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Four Mile Presbyterian Church, Brighton Twp. Interment, with full military honors, will take place at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
