James E. Prothero

August 30, 1951 — July 20, 2016

James E. Prothero, 64, of Patterson Township passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice, Heritage Valley, Beaver, with his family at his side.

Born August 30, 1951 in Rochester, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Patricia R. Prothero. Jim worked as an Audio Sound Technician at Brighton Music Center, New Brighton, having worked previously as an electrician with his family’s business, the former Prothero Electric Company. Jim had a passion for German Shepherds and loved training the dogs. He was a member of O.G. Buckeye Schutzhund USA.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by three brothers, William Prothero, Thomas Arthur Prothero, and Donald Allen Prothero.

Surviving Jim is one brother, Richard “Float” (Lorrie) Prothero, Clinton, IL; two sisters, Susan Greenhawk, Easton, MD, and Jan (Sam) Brendlinger, Beaver; his former wife and special friend, Cyn Bahneman, Ambridge; numerous nieces and nephews; and his canine companions, Fenway and Trixzy.

Friends will be received Friday, July 22, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver. Pastor Donald W. MacNeil will officiate. A private interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester. Online condolences may be shared at nollfuneral.com.
