James L. Winters

James L. Winters (Jim), age 78, formerly of Industry, PA and Sophia, NC, went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Sunday August 28, 2022 after a number of strokes and a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his late wife H. Arlene Winters. He was born October 16, 1943 in Rochester, Pennsylvania, the son of James M. Winters and Beulah Winters. He was a graduate of Rochester High School, after which he served in the US Army. He was also an employee of Duquesne Light Company & First Energy for over 30 years. Jim lived in Industry, PA until the early 2000’s when he relocated to Mount Dora, Florida and finally settling in North Carolina. Jim is survived by his brother Lanny Winters (Barb Winters) of Hookstown, PA as well as his children, James L. Winters, Jr. of Fort Pierce, FL and Monica White of Colfax, NC. Jim also has 3 grandchildren, Morgan Winters and Mackenzie Winters of Denver, CO and Colby White, of Colfax, NC. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Friends and family will be received Saturday October 15, 2022 from 12PM – 2PM in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, PA 15009 where a Memorial Service will be conducted.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the family to help defer the cost of funeral expenses. Any remaining financial gifts will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
