Janet (Mcnitt) Churm

Janet (McNitt) Churm, 88, of Beaver, formerly of New Brighton, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Monday, June 6, 2022.

Born February 15, 1934 in New Brighton, she was the daughter of E.B. and Vera (Myers) McNitt, and was a faithful member of Chapel PCA. Janet will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mom, and favorite Mammie. She was an elementary school teacher, having worked in the Hopewell and Beaver Area School Districts for over 15 years before becoming a mom. She was deeply loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed by many friends and family.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her baby boy (1972), baby girl (1974), brother Jack and sister Nancy. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband, George “Joe” Churm; son, Bill (Sarah) Churm; daughter, Joni (Robb) Colbrunn; her grandchildren, Boyd, Lilia, Gabe, Troy and Adalai Colbrunn, Joe and Megan Churm; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Friday, June 10, 2022, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. at Chapel PCA, 625 Barclay Hill Road, Beaver, PA 15009.
