Jean A. Downs

Jean Ann Downs, 94, formerly of Beaver and Mars, PA, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Butler.

Born September 24, 1926 in West Mayfield, she was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Edith A. Farrell Campbell. Jean will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Vanport Presbyterian Church, Vanport Twp.

In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Melvin Downs in 2002; five brothers, Alfred, Edward, Robert, Glenn, and Joseph Campbell; and two sisters, Betty May and Janet Ketterer.

Jean will be sadly missed by her daughter, Bonnie (Keith) Shea, Mars; a son, Gary (Betty) Downs, Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Margaret “Peg” Moul, Beaver, and Donna (Mel) Radcliffe, Pittsburg, CA; 16 grandchildren, Dr. Craig and Michelle Trent, Mars, Michael and Renee Watson, and Marta and Ethan Bensen, all of Gainesville, VA, Marcie and Ryan Popovich, Las Vegas, NV, Dan and Amanda Downs, Patterson Twp., Bethanie and Randy Good, Richmond, VA, Bryan and Cindy Shea, South Mills, NC, and Scott Shea and Scott Daniels, Greenville, SC; 15 great-grandchildren, Meghan Downs, Caitlyn (Nate Bell) Trent, Cassandra and Luke Williams, Meredith and William Downer, Madelyn Trent, Zak Watson, Matthew Watson, Chad Watson, Joseph Bensen, Caralyne Bensen, Haley Shea, and Colton Shea.
