Jesse D. Bernardi

Jesse D. Bernardi, 93, went into the arms of many waiting angels on Monday, October 24, 2022. Jesse graduated from Midland High School in 1947. Born and raised in Midland, Jesse loved his town, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St Blaise Parish, and the St. Anthony Club, and a generous patron of the Carnegie Library and the annual Fourth of July Celebration. Jesse will also be remembered as a kind-hearted man who was an avid reader, golfer, pool player, and bowler, participating in many local leagues. He also never missed a horse race! Jesse was the proud sponsor of Bernardi’s softball team, where he spent many hours-newspaper in hand-cheering on “his” girls. He was a die-hard Pirates fan. Jesse could spend hours talking about players’ stats and team records. Jesse will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 52-years, Patricia Kukich Bernardi, Ohioville; daughter, Michele Adkins, Delaware; sisters-in-law, Angelina Bernardi and Rose Bernardi, Joan Goyak; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale and Margaret (Bonita) Bernardi; brothers, John and Anthony Bernardi, sister and brother-in-law, Maime and John Cherene, sister-in-law, Mildred Bebee Vassallo; and nephew, Ken Halfhill. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. at the church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 31, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Blaise Parish, Midland.
