John G. Adams

John Gordon Adams, 76, of Hopewell, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 25, 2018.

Born April 29, 1941 in Warren, OH, he was a son of the late Gordon and Maggie Adams. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, John served during the Vietnam War. Upon his return to Western Pennsylvania, he worked as a plant manager for Kennametal, Robinson Twp., and as a realtor with Remax and Century 21, ultimately retiring in 2004 as a clerk with the Pennsylvania State Store in New Brighton. In his spare time, John was an active member of numerous community organizations including the Celtic-Reds Club, the Aliquippa and Monaca VFW, the Monaca American Legion, Ukrainian Club, Aliquippa, Elks #1221, Aliquippa, Moose Lodge #1436, Hays, PA, and the Hopewell Vets.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of nearly 20 years, Virginia L. Adams, Hopewell; three sons, Patrick (Debbie) McVaugh, Orwell, OH, John Peter (Julie) Adams, South Heights, and Adam (Lindsey Hettish) Corak, Brighton Twp.; five daughters, Dawn (Jerry) Reed, Utica, IL, Carmen ( Mark) Tempone, Biloxi, MS, Heidi (Gerry) Fischer, Midland, GA, Jamie (Tom) Roddy, Columbus, OH, and Carey (John) Eckler, Aliquippa; three brothers, Steve (Yolanda) Adams, Mike (Dar) Adams, and Joe (Sarah) Adams; three sisters, Bonnie Fell, Patti (Bill) Feicht, and Susan (Dennis) Ondek; along with 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Adams.

Friends will be received Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the Noll Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Third St., Beaver, where a funeral service will be conducted Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment, with full military honors by the Beaver County Special Unit, will follow at Beaver Cemetery, Beaver.
